Biography
Juliet Larkin-Gilmore holds a Ph.D. in History from Vanderbilt University. Her research and teaching interests are American Indian history, medicine and health, and mobility. Her book manuscript, Mobile Medicine: Public Health and Indigenous Lives on the Lower Colorado River, 1880-1940, examines Mohave, Chemehuevi, Quechan, and Cocopah mobility, health landscapes of the Lower Colorado River, and the contradictions between public health policies and federal attempts to annihilate Native cultures in the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
